International Conference of Public Universities CIUP2022

CIUP2022 International Conference of Public Universities will be a meeting of the educational communities of universities from the five continents in the constant attempt to promote reflections and actions that allow articulating the efforts of the national, regional, and sub-regional systems of higher education to place knowledge at the service of a new conception of humanity and good living.

The present context is defined by multiple political, economic, social, and military tensions between blocs, countries, and societies, which always seem to be resolved with violence and selfishness.

However, knowledge must be the basis for a fruitful dialogue that allows human beings to overcome the structural inequalities, injustices, and poverty that afflict a large part of the world's population. The task of valuing knowledge as a tool for social transformation requires joint work that brings to the fore the idea of ​​education as a human right, a social good, and the responsibility of states.

At this meeting, we intend to integrate ourselves through knowledge and the construction of open, inclusive science and innovative practices, which respond to the 2030 agenda in which we are all challenged to achieve a better world that leaves no one behind.

    INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS/ CONFERENCE OF PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES

    CIUP 2022

    The National University of Córdoba (UNC), the Ministry of Education of Argentina, and the National Interuniversity Council (CIN) are pleased to announce and invite the entire educational community of public universities in the world to participate in the International Congress of Public Universities (CIUP 2022) to be held in the Argentine city of Córdoba on June 30 and July 1, 2022.

    Those people who need a personalized invitation letter should also request it to this e-mail. The CIUP 2022 organization will not deal with hotel reservations, ticket purchases, or the rental of means of transportation in the city.

     

    REGISTRATION 

    It is very important to register through the event website at this link. In this way, you can be ensured to receive the material corresponding to the Congress. 

    The deadline for registration is Friday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. from Argentina.

     

    VENUE

    The event will take place on the campus of the National University of Córdoba, a few blocks from the city center. Both the opening and closing acts will take place in the Sala de las Américas of the Argentine Pavilion, the main building of the University campus [ver mapa]. During Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, different activities will be carried out in parallel in different faculties of the UNC, which are all close to the Argentine Pavilion. In the program that will be delivered to the participants there will be all the necessary information to find the location of the rooms.

     

    COSTS AND ASSISTANCE

    The event is exempt from the collection of registration fees or any other value. The organization will make available coffee breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) on both days.

     

    HOTELS, HOSTELS, AND APARTMENTS FOR RENT

    In the ACCOMMODATION menu of the CIUP 2022 website, you will find contact information for different hotels in the city, located in the historic center, a relatively short distance from the Argentina Pavilion (approximately 20 minutes on foot or 7 minutes by taxi). 

    Remember that the organization of the event will not take care of the accommodation reservations for the participants, except in very special cases.

     

    SANITARY MEASURES

    By current regulations for the Province of Córdoba, during CIUP 2022 the use of masks will be mandatory in all closed spaces. The organization will provide disinfection and personal protection elements to those who need it before entering the rooms.

    We ask the participants for cooperation in this regard and warn that the measures may change according to the sanitary conditions at the time of the event. According to current regulations (see details), foreigners non-residents in Argentina must:

     

    • Complete an online form within at least 48 hours. before the trip.
    • Present COVID-19 health insurance with coverage for hospitalization services, isolation and/or medical transfer to the country of origin).

     

     

    MIGRATIONS AND VISA

    Before traveling, check on this site if you require a visa to enter Argentina. If it is necessary to process a visa, you can learn about the requirements on the website of the Argentine Foreign Ministry or on the page of the consulate closest to your city.
